Vaastu Shastra facilitates an environment to create happy memories, by ensuring placement of five elements of nature in their respective directions. While constructing a house it is easy to apply all the Vaastu guidelines but when it is about buying a flat, which is already constructed or undergoing construction, making structural change is not that simple. So, best is to look for a flat which has perfect usage of direction as per Vaastu. Vaastu Shastra allocates a specific direction for specific purposes and every member of the family is also assigned a certain place in the house as per their hierarchy, age and gender.
Here are the guidelines you must keep in mind prior to buying a house:
Entry to the house
This is an extremely important aspect while looking for a house, as entry greets and welcomes everything inside the house. Having an entryway in east or north direction will ensure positivity flowing inside the house, whereas having an entryway in south and west direction is not suggested due to negativity attached to these directions.
Living room
Living room is an area to meet invited and uninvited guests, without letting them move around the entire house before taking a seat. Hence, the living room is suggested to be in the east, just next to the entryway. It could be prolonged towards north-east or north but never towards south-east. Having an extended balcony in the east or north direction is believed to bring lots of success and prosperity to inmates.
Master bedroom
South-west is the reservoir of all the positive vibrations, which enters from north and east. As these vibrations accumulate in the south-west direction, they craft a perfect environment in south-west for the master bedroom. Ruled by earth element; this direction provides stability and growth, hence best to be occupied by the bread earner of the family.
Kids’ room
Room in the west and northwest directions is good for kids. However the room in this direction can also be used as a guest bedroom or a study room. Beds should be aligned to the south wall and study table to the east wall so that kids face east while studying. There should be windows on the north or east wall to ensure enough ventilation and light in the kid’s room.
