Japa Malas are a string of beads made from different materials and strung together to form a necklace. They are also known as yoga beads and mala beads. Literal meaning: In Sanskrit, Japa is for repeating in a low voice and Mala is for necklace. Japa Mala Beads are mainly used for reciting mantras.
