Yoga and Meditation

Meditation is one of the best tools we have to enjoy and live the present moment, counter the brain’s negativity bias, deal with stress, and foster positive experiences and intentions. And yoga helps in eventually getting to this space effortlessly. We find different forms of yoga and meditation, but at the core the benefits remain the same as long as they are done with consciousness.

Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.                               -B.K.S. Iyengar

To perform every action artfully is yoga.                                                -Swami Kripalu

Those who eat too much or eat too little, who sleep too much or sleep too little, will not succeed in meditation.
But those who are temperate in eating and sleeping, work and recreation,
will come to the end of sorrow through meditation.                                -The Bhagavad Gita

Meditation is painful in the beginning but
it bestows immortal bliss and supreme joy in the end.                                          -Swami Sivananda

Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance.
Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back,
and choose the path that leads to wisdom.                                                   -The Buddha

Whatever forms of meditation you practice, the most important point is to apply mindfulness continuously, and make a sustained effort.
It is unrealistic to expect results from meditation within a short period of time.
What is required is continuous sustained effort.                            -The Dalai Lama
