Vaastu Correction without Demolition

Pt. Gopal Sharma

Flow of energy

The flow of the energy around and into the building is vitally important. It should be a steady and continuous flow, neither rushing through, nor stagnating in dark pools.

Before purchasing the building or during Vaastu correction, the history of the building should also be checked i.e. whether the previous occupants were happy, successful and healthy. Or were there problems, bankruptcy and illness? Even these problems can be overcome, either by using correction remedies, coupled with thorough space clearing and cleansing, a ritual to “frighten away” bad luck which remains.

Direction planning

With the knowledge of Vaastu one can find out the best possible positions for the executives for various activities, i.e. human resources, administration, marketing, finance, accounts, etc. But, when you know their personal life-governing numbers as well, this can be done with more accuracy, taking into account their innate personalities.

As a general rule, “bosses” and managers are well located in the Southwest and South sector, which symbolizes the “authority figure.” Northwest is the zone for mentors and helpful people.

The North side (or the wealth corner) is best for finance, accounts and cash register operatives in stores, whilst those workers specifically dealing with personnel functions would be best located in the Southeast.

Vaastu2

Each time, colors, elements and ornaments would all be taken into consideration, as well as the placement of desks, furniture, pictures, electrical equipment, lights, spot lamps, water features like aquariums and fountains (best suited in Northeast/North zone) and plants (best in East/Southeast zone).

Active energy & colors

All business premises should be active and busy sites, and the energies to be encouraged are positive only. Any empty space within the building or immediately around it, like empty offices, warehouses and derelict ruins would have to be considered as “pools of decay” and protected against.

Inside the building there is a lot of necessary movement and activity, as well as loads of angular office furniture, mainly metal and wood; plus all the electrical equipment, so the site is likely to be cluttered with strong energies. It is important that with the decor and remedies, these highly powerful energies do not go over the top and disrupt the workplace. If the public are often there as customers, it is very important that the atmosphere comes across as friendly and helpful.

Main colors can be neutral, even bordering on pastel, with bright touches and splashes being brought in where they are appropriate. Metal is supported by brown, orange, terra cotta, yellow, and strengthened by white, cream, gold, bronze or grey. Water is supported by blue/green and strengthened by black.

Desks

for desks which will bring strength, support and authority. A good sized, very large desk, recommended by experts, for a “top boss” would be 33 inches high (3 is a strong number, symbolizing the East, growth and ambition), 60 inches long (6 is wisdom, power and authority, symbolizing the Northwest) and 34 inches wide (3, 4 are numbers of the Southeast accumulation of wealth and riches, together making 7, a very magical number, linked to the stars and constellations). A smaller desk could be 33 inches high by 48 inches long and 32 inches wide.

L shaped desks, so very popular these days, are not auspicious, rectangular shapes are far better.

Computers on desks will give out a great deal of energy in the form of electro magnetic fields. This is good in the office environment as long as it does not become overpowering because of all the other energies already there. The negative effect can be reduced by use of pastel colors of opposite energies for harmony and balance.

Vaastu3

As a general rule, “bosses” and managers are well located in the Southwest and South sector, which symbolizes the “authority figure.”

All offices, as with all rooms in a house, are ideal if they are regular shaped with four corners and no alcoves.

Vaastu4Vaastu5

Whilst at desks or computer work stations, office workers should not sit with their backs to the door. The desk should be placed diagonally opposite the door with a clear view of anyone who enters. The back wall behind the desk should be solid with no windows. Wherever it is unavoidable, place a picture of a high peak mountain without water, symbolizing support and strength. If a window is on the back side of a desk, vertical blinds will help to protect and add stability.

A manager/CEO should ideally have the office well into the heart of the building, but never at the end of a long corridor, especially if the corridor has three or more doors in it.

All offices, as with all rooms in a house, are ideal if they are regular shaped with four corners and no alcoves. Offices near toilets, especially just opposite the toilets are not good.

Open angular shelving should not point or threaten desks. Glass fronted shelves are best, or protect them with trailing plants or with books/files brought forward to the edge of the shelves.

Office organization

Front doors and entrance/reception areas need protection from any external “poison arrows,” such as T-junctions or pointing corners of a building etc. Generally, main entrances should face East/West, backed by the protective armchair. Also remember that the East symbolizes fame, public recognition and reputation, whereas the West is especially suitable for establishments owned by women, and dealing in home goods. The Eastern entrance is excellent for shops or any premises dealing directly with the general public.

Another good location for the main entrance is the North, representing wealth and richness of life. Reception areas or offices near the main entrance need to be as spacious as possible with excellent lighting.

Do not let mirrors face the main entrance, in such case all positive energy would be reflected straight back out again. Broad leafed plants and attractive colors in this area would be excellent. Tie them in with the elements and colors for the North zone. Reception and initial meeting rooms for visitors to the company are excellent in the North, or in the Northwest, the sector of mentors and influential, helpful people.

Desks in reception areas or in any offices in the building which are too close to doors may need wind chimes to moderate the flow of positive energy. If desks are near pools of stagnant energy, hidden away in corners, near alcoves or actually in alcoves, remedies need to be applied, such as spotlights. But, lights right above people’s heads are not conducive to good energy.

Shelves and mirrors too close to a desk would not be good for the person trying to work at the desk. Clutter and untidiness must be avoided, not only on desks, but around them as well.

Vaastu7

Using remedies and protectors

Colors, elements, directions and locations should all be considered, especially remedies such as electrical equipment, clocks, mirrors, lights, aquariums, fountains, wind chimes and crystals for each case carefully.

North is wealth

All businesses are concerned with wealth in one way or another, so the Northern sector principles applied to business premises is usually the most important. If this sector is stunted or missing, or if this is where all the staff toilets and rubbish bins are located, obviously there will be problems that need sorting out using the remedies.

To enhance cash/fund flow, I recommend the use of coins, tied together with a red ribbon or/and pyramid chips. Use three of them, and they must be “Head” side facing upwards. Put them in or near cash registers in shops, in invoice books, near sales figures, in the accounts department in offices.
Cash registers in shops, or any offices or areas connected in any way with finance and accounts should never be close to, or even worse, facing a toilet or kitchen.

Mirrors reflecting the cash register or the account books are also excellent in addition to a frog and/or fish ornaments.

Also remember that especially in the Northeast water signifies wealth; so a small water feature or aquarium with moving water would help ensure that any water flow is pointing into the office and not, as with small waterfalls, facing the main door.

Desks in reception areas or in any offices in the building which are too close to doors may need wind chimes to moderate the flow of positive energy.

Direction zones and business implications

The eight zones can also be seen to have special implications with business life. The Center, as you know, is an extremely precious and powerful area, symbolizing earth and the number 5, where the positive energy swirls and can produce extreme change. It should be left as clear and as empty as possible. This is very important in stores, to allow the customer freedom to browse.

The South is usually a good location for bosses of any description including managers. The positive fire energy here is strong, powerful and supportive, helping with organization, authority and leadership qualities. The boardroom or any important management rooms can also be in the South zone.

  • The Northeast is good for creative work and new projects or developments inside the company.
  • The Northwest can be used very well for sales, finance, account records, toilets or restrooms.
  • The West symbolizing relationships has a slow and staid energy but can be good for personnel work, good customer liaison and interviewing new staff. It represents careful solid progress and strong relationships.
  • The East is for fame and public recognition, and therefore links in with improved sales and advertising/ marketing, and design departments. This is an excellent location for stores.
  • The North is the wealth corner.
  • The Southeast is an excellent location for computers, technical design, and where necessary – kitchens, and training. It has a very active energy, where ambitions can be realized; any hi-tech equipment is well placed in this location.

Vaastu8

  • The Northeast has a strong, sharp energy, symbolizing learning, knowledge and inner self-growth. It is associated with hard competitive skills, motivation and getting difficult work and projects carried through to completion. But always remember the energy here is unstable and can quickly change. Speculation, such as stock exchange trading, investments, are very often found in this location!
  • Finally, the element Earth supporting water, is strongly associated with career matters, the suitable direction is the Southwest. There is great power and strength here, protection and support.

Vaastu9Vaastu in small businesses

The information given above could be applied to a small business, restaurant or store occupying just one room. The power and strength of the application would not be as strong as that used for the whole building. The office environment of a small business is crucially important, since all the functions of the business may be crowded together. Vaastu can be very helpful in bringing efficiency and progress into a business like this, and also help with good working relationships between staff and job satisfaction. It will also help provide stress-free surroundings, while enhancing the “feel good” factor which is critical in helping the company grow, and therefore also ensuring individual growth of wealth!

Mirrors reflecting the cash register or the account books are also excellent in addition to a frog and/or fish ornaments.
